What Singaporeans looked for on Google Search in 2023
Singaporeans are kaypoh (Hokkien for “busybody”), but Google knows how truly kaypoh we can be.
Google revealed its annual Year In Search 2023 results, which gives us a glimpse of trending search queries by Singaporeans. It shows what caught our attention, with plenty of highlights that dotted an eventful year.
“25 years ago, Google Search was launched to help people find answers to questions big and small. Likewise in 2023, we continued to connect Singaporeans to the information they were looking for – from keeping abreast of local and global events, exploring new activities in the country and discovering the world of AI. This year, we have also reimagined the way we search with new generative AI capabilities such as Search Generative Experience that will help Singaporeans to understand a topic faster, uncover viewpoints and insights, and get things done more easily,” said Xiu Xian Ho, Communications Manager, Google Singapore.
