Anyone can give you a product endorsement these days, from a close friend to a global influencer/ambassador that you keenly follow. There's also no shortage of vloggersand lifestyle mediaoffering up quick lists, parading shiny new gear and more. Varied opinions and viewpoints are good, offering users more considerations, and personal anecdotes, just like the countless enthusiasts on HardwareZone's very own forum with over half a million members.

However, taking in too many viewpoints could either be overwhelming or time-consuming. Worse yet, shallow recommendations without valid insights often add to the confusion. That's where Singapore's leading tech lifestyle media publication, HardwareZone, along with HWM and GameAxisscour the landscape to validate the very best tech brands, gear, and games that you should spend your time and money on.

With over 100 years of combined tech experience amongst ourveteran team of editors and tech writers in the team, extensive test and comparison methodologies and leveraging on our wide community for their say, the HWM + HardwareZone Tech Awards is the definitive indicator for Singaporeans (and some say even for South-East Asia) to make a sound decision.

In our 13th annual edition of the awards, we've qualified 180 brands to participate in 45 Readers' Choice award categories to find out the best tech brands and tested 70 products to award 19 Editor's Choice categories for their outstanding performance and innovation. Severalnew categories have also debuted this year since the hybrid work culture is here to stay.

We've published the Editor's choice results back in April and May 2022, but we've taken more time time to verify and collate Readers' Choice results as it is our highest-ever submission of voters, with over 13,000 authentic submissions. This also gave us time torenew our synergy within the SPH Media Network and sharpen our priorities to get the word out to even more consumers than ever before. Print ads, digital ads, social media ads, newsletters and trade releases, radio and even outdoor adsvia SPHMBO, we made sure the results were widely publicized.

Yet another SPHMBO screen showcasing some of the Tech Awards 2022 winners. Look closely, and you'll notice this is for D-Link's IP Networking win for the Readers' Choice segment.

Building on the publicity momentum, I joined a live slot in the Prime time segment with MoneyFM 89.3 hosts Timothy Goh and Bharathi Jagdish to share about top tech buys and the hybrid work culture that has changed tech spending needs (podcast available here), and days later with Tim Oh at OneFM 91.3 in more detail as we talked about the Tech Awards processand more aboutsome of the winners(yes it's a two-part radio segment). Meanwhile, tech brands celebrated on social, locally and abroad, ontheir new accomplishments.

Check out our news release for our official list of winners, and a whole slew of dedicated articles for Readers' Choice and Editor's Choice winners to know how each brand made its mark and why our editors crowned the top gadgets for this year.

The Tech Awards have always been about celebrating the best of tech brands and technologies. As such, we’re quite pleased with abumper increase in audience participationinthe 2022 edition of ourReaders' Choice category as enthusiastic readerschimed in who the best brands are in their opinion. Brands have also responded stronger than beforeto celebrate their wins with the broader SPH network and their social channels. These are strong indicators that HardwareZone gets what it'sdoing right for the tech industry, our relevancy to both our audience and brands, and that Tech Awards is keeping up to its mission in the ever-changing landscape.

Watch out for Tech Awards 2023, as we launch the first phase later this year to find out how Readers' opinions have shifted over a year since they last participated.
