Apple increases prices for Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Apple One bundles

Apple has increased the subscription fees for Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Apple One bundles in the US and other countries including Singapore.

The price increases for the respective service are summarised in the table below:

This is the second time that Apple raised the price ofApple TV+. The company launched the video streaming service in 2019 for S$6.98 before hiking the price to S$9.98 on 1 November 2022, and then now to S$13.98.

Happily, there is no price hike for the Apple Music this time.

Apple's move to raise prices for some of its subscription-based services came days after Netflix increased its prices in the U.S.Spotify also increased its subscription fees across its plans in July this year.

That said, Apple's hikes are one of the most aggressive. For example, the price of Apple TV+ has gone up by 40% and the price of Apple Arcade has gone up by 42%.

If it's any consolation, Apple TV+ is still more affordable than Netflix and Disney+. But even then, one could also argue that their catalogue of content isn't as compelling.
