Apple looking into flickering display issue on the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Series 9
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Series 9 appear to be suffering from a flickering display issue.
An internal service memo shared with Apple Authorised Service Providers reveals that the display brightness on some Apple Watch models might briefly flicker or pulse when Always On mode is turned on.
While the memo did not specify which models are affected, it seems that the this issue is more common on the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Series 9. The affected Apple Watch models are all running various versions ofwatchOS 10.
Authorised Service Providers are advised in the memo not to repair affected models, which suggests that the display flickering issueis software-related and could be fixed in the future with a software update.
Apple recently fixed the Weather complication bug on the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Series 9 with watchOS 10.0.2. However, the watchOS 10.0.2 update is only available for the two models. Users of the Apple Watch Ultra, Series 8 or older models have to wait for the next watchOS update.
