Avatar: The Way of Water comes to Disney+ on June 7
Avatar: The Way of Water, the sequel to the 2009 film Avatar, will be available to stream on Disney+ on June 7. The film has been a commercial success, grossing over US$2.3 billion worldwide. It was nominated for several Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects.
The film is set more than a decade after the events of the first film. Jake Sully and Neytiri are now married and have two children. They live in a peaceful village on Pandora, but their lives are turned upside down when the human military returns to the planet.
The film has been praised for its stunning visuals and its emotional story. It has also been criticised for its long running time. However, it is clear that Avatar: The Way of Water is a major film event.
The next Avatar sequel is scheduled for release in December 2024.
