Canon has announced the launch of the Maxify MegaTank GX2070 and Maxify MegaTank GX6570 printers even as it celebrates the rebranding of its Pixma and Maxify ink tank printers to Pixma MegaTank and Maxify MegaTank.

With the rebranding, all of Canon’s previous Pixma and Maxify ink tankbased printers have been rebranded to Pixma MegaTank and Maxify MegaTank printers for a total of 14 models.

Canon says that theMegaTank lineup starts from essential models for home and home offices to business-centred configurations catering to larger offices and small businesses. The Maxify MegaTank series also includes productivity features such as auto duplex printing for resource conservation, swift print speeds to boost efficiency, extra-large paper cassettes for bulk printing, and the inclusion of pigment ink for water-resistance on documents and exceptional print longevity.

The Maxify MegaTank GX6570 sports a new full-front operation design, making it useful for businesses with space limitations and height placement constraints.

It comes with a redesigned duplex auto document feeder (DADF) allowing it to be front-facing and making scanning or copying documents more intuitive and convenient. Double-sided document originals can even be scanned easily in one pass without the need to turn over the pages manually.

The MegaTank GX6570 also includes an ID copy feature, allowing both sides of business cards or identification cards to be scanned easily. The Home Screen on the printer LCD can also be reconfigured to allow commonly used functions to be assigned for maximum accessibility.

The MegaTank GX6570 uses GI-76 ink bottles with a full set of ink delivering up to 14,000 colour documents and 6,000 greyscale documents. Printing in economy mode increases this to 21,000 and 9,000 pages in colour and greyscale, respectively.

The printer is equipped with a user-replaceable maintenance cartridge, with front and rear paper trays allowing a total paper loading capacity of up to 350 sheets, which reduces the need to replace paper frequently and improves business workflow.

The Maxify MegaTank GX2070 combines fast printing with productivity, making it an ideal business printer for those working from home or in small workgroup environments.

It comes equipped with a fast Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) that excels at scanning and copying multiple document originals on one side of a page at a time. This is unlike the duplex auto document feeder of the MegaTank GX6570, which does dual-sided scanning and copying. Plus, the design of the MegaTank GX2070 hasn’t changed, with the ADF still placed to the side.

The ink tanksof the MegaTank GX2070 can deliver yields at approximately 3,000 pages of full-colour documents on a single set of ink bottles. With the economy mode print setting, it pushes the yield to approximately 4,500 pages.

Similar to the MegaTank GX6570, the MegaTank GX2070 features user-replaceable print heads and maintenance cartridges, which simplifies printer maintenance and reduces downtime. The maintenance cartridge can also be easily accessed from the front, allowing the printers to be placed up against the wall, making installation in tight spaces possible.
