Singapore Polytechnic launches Robotics Solutions Development Centre in partnership with ShenHao
Singapore Polytechnic has launched a Robotics Solutions Development Centre (RSDC) in partnership with ShenHao (Singapore) Pte Ltd, the local subsidiary of ShenHao Technology. Covering 160 sqm, the RSDC will be equipped with ShenHao's equipment and systems to carry out research in the areas of robotics, automation, and related technologies.
OVHcloud launches its most sustainable data centre in Asia Pacific in Singapore
OVHcloud has announced the launch of its second data centre in Singapore which comes with the best-in-class sustainability metrics by fully deploying OVHcloud’s water cooling technology. This features an integrated water-cooling system that is built into a vertical rack designed to facilitate cooling at the server level, eliminating the need for air conditioning in server rooms, with significant benefits in costs and environmental impact. At the same time, the design will also allow precise and efficient cooling, so that it would only require a single glass of water to cool an OVHcloud server over 10 hours when many servers on the market would need seven times more water.
Salesforce Research finds that 84% of business leaders in Singapore are worried about their company missing out on the benefits of AI
Salesforce’s recently released its State of Data and Analytics report that found that 84% of business leaders in Singapore are worried about their company missing out on its benefits of AI with the same number of analytics and IT leaders in Singapore saying advances in AI make data management a high priority. However, only 38% of business leaders are confident in their data accuracy.
SAP Concur study finds Singapore business travellers more than ready to hit the road
An SAP Concur study found that business travel is returning with 67% of Singapore respondents saying they are very willing to travel for business. While there is greater inclination to travel, 95% of Singapore business travellers expect flexibility to book travel outside of company policy when policy conflicts with their needs or values. Unfortunately, nine in 10 Singapore business travellers said their business travels are already being affected, with the most common impact being reduced travel budgets.
Research from Toku finds Singapore consumers are more confident at spotting scams than they were 12 months ago
Research from Singapore-based tech firm Toku reveals three out of four of Singapore consumers are more confident in recognising scam calls and SMS than they were 12 months ago, thanks to educational initiatives that have empowered them with the knowledge to identify and thwart scams effectively. It also found that when it comes to urgent matters about payment or finance, the majority of Singapore consumers (62%) display a strong preference for human agents, with 66% of Singapore consumers expecting human customer service and support to be available 24/7, and 53% feeling frustrated if they are not able to easily access human support.
