The new Fitbit Charge 6 comes with a redesigned Fitbit app and Google “Smarts”
Google’s new Fitbit Charge 6 wants you to work out smarter and understand your body better. While we haven’t been given any of its specs yet, Google has been more forthcoming on its capabilities.
Similar in shape to the Fitbit Charge 5, the Fitbit Charge 6 comes with what Google is calling, “its most accurate heart rate on a tracker yet”, giving it 60% more accurate readings during vigorous activities like HIIT, spinning and rowing. Hook the Charge 6 to a compatible exercise machine like treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, and exercise bikes, amongst others, and you can see your heart rate in real-time.
Included are more than 40 exercise modes, like strength training, HIIT, skiing, kayaking and more. Plus, you get to see key stats in real time including Active Zone Minutes which shows your target intensity levels.
Get access to the Google “Smarts’ you need as you exercise. Never get lost with turn-by-turn directions on your wrist with Google Maps. Need a refreshing pick me up? Tap your Charge 6 and pay using Google Wallet. Want inspiration as you exercise or just want to drive the mundane away as you pound the miles? The Charge 6 lets you control your YouTube Music with the controls right on your wrist.
Together with the new Charge 6, Google has also released a redesigned Fitbit app to help you better understand your fitness metrics. Get a Daily Readiness Score to better understand your body’s readiness to tackle a tough workout or if you should take a day to recover, with daily activity recommendations based on your score.
The Fitbit Charge 6 will be available in three colour options, Obsidian, Porcelain, and Coral at S$229.95 both online and in-stores like the Google Store and Fitbit website, as well as retailer partners including Amazon SG, Best Denki, Challenger Online, Courts Online, Gain City, Harvey Norman, and selected Popular stores, and online platforms Lazada and Shopee.
