Gigabyte launches two NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti cards for liquid-cooling enthusiasts
Gigabyte has launched two water-cooled GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards with all the bells and whistles befitting of its premium Aorus Waterforce branding.
As the name suggests, the pair of cards – the Aorus GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Xtreme 12GB Waterforce and the Aorus GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB Xtreme Waterforce WB– feature liquid-cooling to keep their overclocked Ada LoveLace GPUs running cool. The liquid-cooling feature also extends to the VRAM and MOSFETs of the cards, ensuring that these primary components operate stably even at high clock speeds.
The Aorus GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Xtreme 12GB Waterforce card is ideal for users who don’t want to tinker with open-loop cooling systems. The card features the factory-installed Waterforce all-in-one cooling system that consists of a 240mm radiator coupled with a pair of 120mm ARGB fans. The card is a dual-slot one; however, users need to ensure their chassis can accommodate the all-in-one cooling system with its braided FEP tubings that are durable and leak-resistant.
The Aorus GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB Xtreme Waterforce WB single-slot card is targeted at PC enthusiasts who operate their own open-loop cooling systems. The card comes with a patented “leak detection” feature and it will flash its LEDs in the event of any leaks. This is in the hopethat the user will notice the warning and turn off the rig to prevent further damage.
The cards are overclocked to 2700MHz, in comparison to the reference card’s 2610MHz clock speed. To ensure durability, the Aorus GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Waterforce cards feature metal backplates as well as aerospace-grade PCB coating that protect against dust and moisture. In addition, Gigabyte offers a 4-year warranty, with terms and conditions.
