The GoPro Hero 12 Black comes with 2x longer battery life

GoPro just announced its latest action camera, the Hero 12 Black which addresses a major pain point of previous models.
Most notably, the GoPro Hero 12 Black sports a redesigned power management system, it is able to deliver up to 2x longer runtimes.
GoPro claims the Hero 12 Black can deliver 70 minutes of continuous recording at 5.3K60, over 95 minutes at 5.3K30, and over 155 minutes of continuous recording at 1080p30, even with its in-camera stabilisation feature turned on.
GoPro also added support for Bluetooth audio devices, including the Apple AirPods, on the Hero 12 Black. Users can record audio straight to the Hero 12 Black from the Bluetooth audio device. In addition, the Bluetooth audio device can issue voice commands to control the Hero 12 Black from a distance. This allows users to take more creative shots without having to be near the camera or use a remote accessory.
In terms of camera performance, the Hero 12 Black can capture 5.3K+ 4K video which delivers 91% more resolution than 4K, and 8x slow-mo in up to 2.7K resolution.
The 1/1.9" sensor offers an extra-large 8:7 aspect ratio that can be cropped into 9:16, 16:9 and 4:3 from the same source material. The 8:7 aspect ratio is available across all video resolutions as well as TimeWarp, Time Lapse, Night Lapse, and all Night Effects modes.
Another new feature, which content creators on social media platforms should appreciate, is the vertical capture mode. Instead of re-orientating or re-mounting, the Hero 12 Black can capture 9:16 vertical video at 4K30 when placed horizontally.
The Hero 12 Black has two new features for the professional users, which are GP-Log+ and Timecode Sync. GP-Log+ gives professional users more control with post-production editing while Timecode Sync allows the syncing of several Hero 12 Black devices for seamless multi-camera editing. TimeCode Sync is compatible with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier and other popular editing apps.
