Huawei launches Watch GT 4 series in Barcelona
Huawei announced a host of 2023 wearable devices on 15 September 2023 in Barcelona, Spain, with its new generation of gadgets focused on both technology and fashion sense. Here’s a quick look at the four new tools coming to its stable.
Huawei Watch GT 4 and Watch Ultimate Gold Edition
The Huawei Watch GT 4 marks the next-generation upgrade to its smartwatch series. It now offers 46mm and 41mm sizes (mildly different from Watch GT 3), an updated look, along with improvements to its Activity Rings feature. The Watch GT 4 is also launched alongside a new Stay Fit app, on top of getting improved GNSS tracking with its new TruSeen 5.5+ (it’s collective name for its host of sensors for all sorts of monitoring).
Huawei Watch GT 4 goes at €250 (41mm) and €300 (46mm) in Europe.
Also popping up along the Watch GT 4 is Huawei’s first-ever gold smartwatch, called theHuawei Watch Ultimate Gold Edition. It features a gold bezel, gold crown, and 3D trapezoidal patterns for its engraving. It also has a gold PVD titanium strap with adjustable butterfly-styled buckle.
Huawei Watch Ultimate Gold Edition retails at €2,999, with its retail date to be confirmed.
Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3
Upgrading upon its predecessor is the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 true wireless earbuds. It has an updated Intelligent Dynamic ANC 3.0 system for better noise cancellation and a new Pure Voice 2.0 mic system for calls. It also now supports LDAC, an open source high-bitrate (32-bit/96kHz, up to 990Kbps) Bluetooth audio codec.
Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 are priced at €200, with Europe getting the goods from 11 October 2023 onwards.
Huawei Eyewear 2
As a pair of smart glasses, the Huawei Eyewear 2 features built-in speakers with interchangeable ZEISS prescription lenses on a titanium frame. It features touch controls.
Huawei Eyewear 2 retails at €300 in Europe, starting from 18 October 2023.
Huawei MatePad 11.5-inch PaperMatte Edition
Adding to Huawei’s growing list of 11.5-inch MatePad tablets is the new PaperMatte Edition.
Huawei said this variant “bring consumers unprecedented viewing experience”. How it differs is the paper-like LCD, which has a nano-etched screen coating to reduce glare and eye strain. The specs are otherwise similar to the LTE version of its 11.5-inch MatePad.
Huawei MatePad 11.5-inch PaperMatte Edition retails at €500 in Europe, starting on 19 September 2023.
