LG to bring Apple AirPlay to hotel room TVs later this year
LG just announced it will be the first to bring Apple AirPlay to hotel room TVs.
Michael Kosla, hospitality vice president at LG Business Solutions USA, shared that Apple AirPlay will be available on LG Pro:Centric Smart Hotel TVs later this year at select properties. AirPlay functionality will be available on 2023 LG smart hotel TVs and recent year's models.
LG says it has worked closely with Apple to ensure AirPlay will be as easy to use as when at home. Hotel guests can connect their iPhone or iPad to the LG smart hotel TV by scanning a unique QR code. Apple AirPlay will allow hotel guests to stream, control and share videos, photos, music and more from their iPhone or iPad to the smart, in-room LG TV.
