Logitech has just updated its MX Anywhere mouse and MX Key keyboard. Let's start with the mouse.

For the uninitiated, the MX Anywhere mouse, as you might have probably surmised from its name, is the compact version of the MX Master mouse.

And having updated the MX Master mouse last year, Logitech has now turned its attention to its smaller sibling.

The new mouse, called the MX Anywhere 3S, is an incremental update over its predecessor. The changes are subtle but, seeing that the old MX Anywhere 3 is nearly three years old now, much welcomed.

One of the big changes is the sensor. It's still Logitech's Darkfield sensor, which means it'll work on just about any surface (including glass and wood), but it now has a higher sensitivity of 8,000 DPI – up from 4,000 DPI.

The other noticeable updates are the left and right mouse buttons which have new silent switches so mouse clicks are more damped and quiet. The last change is that it's made using more sustainable and recycled materials.

Like the MX Anywhere 3S, the updates to theMX Key S keyboard are minor. The keyboard layout is mostly the same but the function keys have been revised so there are now dedicated buttons for emojis, to mute and unmute your computer's mic, and speech-to-text dictation.

The other change is with thebacklights. Apart from being able to sense your presence and turn itself offwhen you are away, it can now also sense ambient lighting and adjust its brightness level accordingly.

Like all MX Master devices, the MX Key S and MX Anywhere 3S can connect up to three devices simultaneously and the Logitech Flow feature allows you to use them to control all three devices at once – not unlike Apple's Universal Control feature.

Availability and pricing

The Logitech MX Master Anywhere 3S and MX Key S are both available now and are priced at S$139 and S$199 respectively. You can also get them together as a combo, which also includes the MX Palm Rest for S$309. If you intend to get both, the combo is obviously better value.

You can find them on Lazada, Shopee, and the Logitech Online Store.
