Logitech revamps Yeti mic line and introduces Litra Beam LX: A new suite for gamers and streamers
Logitech has reintroduced the Yeti range of microphones with the Yeti GX and Yeti Orb – three months after its acquisition of the previously standalone brand, Blue. Alongside these offerings, Logitech has also launched the Litra Beam LX, a dual-sided RGB gaming light designed to elevate livestreaming setups.
The Yeti GX inherits its predecessor's design ethos but veers more towards the gaming community, as indicated by its 'G' suffix. A key feature here is the Lightsync RGB, adding visual flair to an otherwise minimal setup. In terms of audio capabilities, the GX comes equipped with a dynamic supercardioid pickup pattern, similar to karaoke microphones. This design allows for a tighter pickup range, offering the advantage of sound isolation, particularly beneficial for streamers looking to suppress peripheral noises like keyboard and mouse clicks.
Another noteworthy function is the Smart Audio Lock, a limiter designed to prevent audio clipping during louder vocal expressions. Plug-and-play compatibility ensures minimal setup, while Blue VO!CE technology, a carryover from the older Yeti range, continues to enhance audio quality.
On the other hand, the Yeti Orb takes a less flamboyant approach. With its orb-shaped design, the microphone is more restrained, featuring only a lit Logitech G logo. However, don't let its subdued looks fool you. It's a condenser cardioid microphone aimed at minimising background noise, incorporating Blue-powered filters to keep audio signals from clipping.
But Logitech's new introductions aren't just about audio; they're also targeting the visual aesthetics of gamers' setups with the Litra Beam LX. This dual-sided RGB gaming light offers adjustable white CCT light on one side and Lightsync RGB on the other. Its three-way mounting mechanism provides versatility in directing the light source. The beam's white light source employs Logitech's proprietary TrueSoft technology to deliver cinematic colour accuracy. With a diffuser on the front, the light promises to eliminate harsh shadows and make skin tones appear more natural.
Price-wise, the Yeti GX and Yeti Orb come in black colourways and retail for $89 and $219 respectively. The Litra Beam LX is available in a graphite finish and is priced at $219. They are available atLogitech G,Shopee,Lazadaand all major retailers.
