Loki Season 2 is packed with even more time-traveling shenanigans
If you needed something to wash the baffling taste of Secret Invasion from your mouth, Disney+ has just the thing. Season 2 of Loki returns October 6, and the first trailer unveils a good dose of mayhem and green-tinged mischief.
Tom Hiddleston's eponymous character is faced with saving the very timeline itself— an uphill battle when he himself appears to be jumping haphazardly through different time periods, or time slipping, as Ke Huy Quan'sOB tells Mobius (Owen Wilson). Time itself appears to be unraveling at the seams, or as the trailer ominously warns, the timeline is running out.
Loki is the most-watched Marvel Studios series on Disney+, and the second season promises even more swashbuckling action as Loki and his buddy Mobius dress up in various period garb and grapple with the omnipresent threat of Kang (Jonathan Majors).
Kang is largely absent from the trailer, following Majors' arrest in March, and it remains unclear how much of him we'll actually see in Season 2. We do get a glimpse of him in the trailer, but only via a scene that we already saw in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumnania's post-credits.
Other returning cast members include Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, the alternate reality version of Loki,Gugu Mbatha-RawasRavonna Renslayer, andWunmi Mosaku asHunter B-15.
