Needless to say, a hearty round of congratulations is certainly in order for RSG. Not only did they manage to clinch the MPL SG title back-to-back, but they're also the first team to breeze through an entire MPL season without suffering a single match loss. Come January, the team willbeheading to Jakarta, Indonesia to represent Singapore at the World Finals, where they'll be duking it out against the world's best for the lion's share oftheUS$800,000 prize money.

Yet, Slate Esports played admirably as well, and their tenacity is especially laudable consideringthey had already weathered an earlier 3-2defeat against RSG within the Upper Bracket. From the LowerBracket, they climbed back up to the Grand Finals with a stellar 3-0 victory over EVIL, and they even managedto take the first game against RSG.However, the latter held fast and counterattacked, and the two teams ended up trading wins all the way to the aforementioned 4-3 score.

Specifically, the award for Best Rookie went to Vernon “Peace” Chua, Regular Season MVP to Bellamy “Lolsie” Yeo, MVP for the Playoffs to Yeo "Diablo" Wee Lun, and Best Caster to Chris “Jayz”Yeo. Notably, the latter will be heading to Jakarta along with Resurgence in January, where he'll represent the little red dot in the casting booth.
