Sharp launches 5G and 4G phones in Singapore which cost less than S$400
Sharp announces two affordable Android 12 smartphones to the Singapore market. They are the Sharp Aquos V6 5G and the V6 Plus 4G.
The Sharp Aquos V6 5G is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 700 chipset, 4GB RAM and a 5,000mAh battery. It sports a 6.6-inch HD+ display (720 x 1600 pixels) that supports 90Hz refresh rate, reading mode, dark mode, and colour mode.
Other specs include a rear triple-lens system (50MP main + 2MP depth + 2MP macro), an 8MP selfie camera, 128GB internal storage space with microSD support up to 1TB, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, Dual-SIM standby, and a fingerprint sensor.
The more affordable Sharp Aquos V6 Plus 4G runs on MediaTek's Helio G25 chipset with 4GB RAM and a 5,000mAh battery. Its display size is slightly smaller at 6.52 inches and it has a 60Hz refresh rate.
The Aquos V6 Plus also comes with smaller internal storage at 64GB, but that is expandable up to 512GB via a microSDcard slot. The camera hardware on the front and back are the same as the Aquos V6 5G.
The Galaxy A13 5G ships with Android 13 and has a wider choice of colour optionsata lower retail price of S$318. The Oppo A78 5G offers more memory (8GB) and supports 33W SuperVOOC fast charging at S$399. Considering that they were launched in Q1, their street prices are likely to be even lower, which could make them even more attractive alternatives.
