Two days after the 31st SEA Games in Hanoi kicked off its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (ML:BB) Group and Final Stage tournament, the competition has concluded its semi-finals and finals matches, with the Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore taking the top three spots.

The Group Stage began with the three medallists along with Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar as the competing nations. Despite an initial 2-0 loss against Indonesia, the Singapore party, which consists of members from the Team Flash and EVOS SG ML:BB teams, scraped by to the semi-finals by coming second in its Group, winning a tiebreaker against Vietnam.

The Finals Stage matches, meanwhile, saw Team Singapore lose 2-1 against the Filippino team, which consists of members from Blacklight International, theMobile Legends team which won the M3 World Championships in December of last year, before winning the Bronze Medal match2-1 against Malaysia.Adammirof EVOSSG, which made it to the semi-finals of last year's M3 World Championships was the Bronze match's MVP.

The team's top three positionmarks an improvement over Singapore's last SEA Games ML:BB placement, during the 30th SEA Games in the Phillippines in 2019, and adds a Bronze to Singapore's 140+ medals. Singapore currently stands at fifth place in the overall medal tally, with Vietnam currently the reigning leader on the board with over 300 medals.

It mustn't have been easy to prepare for an international competition, though, and despite the odds, the team pulled through to secure a podium placement, so congrats to our local athletes!
