The updated Tesla Model 3 is now available in Singapore in RWD and AWD variants
About two months ago, Tesla unveiled theupdated version of its Model 3 sedan. Now, it's available in Singapore.
The newest version of the Model 3 is a striking-looking thing – especially in Ultra Red. On the outside, it looks sharper, thanks mostly to a more aerodynamic front-end and sleeker-looking headlights. The Model 3's drag coefficient is now down to just 0.219 – down from 0.225.
There are big changes on the inside too, most notably with additional airbags to improve occupant safety, better sound isolation thanks to a "360-degree acoustic glass", ventilated seats, a bigger boot, a larger 15.4-inch infotainment display, a new 8-inch display for rear passengers, and more.
The Model 3 will be available in two variants:one with a single motor and rear-wheel drive, and another with dual motors and all-wheel drive.
Needless to say, the dual motor all-wheel drive version is quicker. Tesla claims it can get from a standstill to 100km/h in just 4.4 seconds. The real-wheel drive model takes slightly longer at 6.1 seconds.
Tesla, as always, is coy about the battery capacity of its cars, but the claimed WLTP range of the dual motor all-wheel drive version is 629km, while that of the rear-wheel drive model is 513km. These figures are class-leading and a huge reason why Teslas are so popular.

Pricing and availability
Both models of the Tesla Model 3 are available now and prices start at S$88,650 for the RWD version and S$114,953 for the AWD version. Note that these prices do not include COE. Deliveries will start later this year.
