Xiaomi to join the clamshell foldable phone space next year with the Mix Flip
Xiaomi is tipped to be the next Chinese phone brand to release a clamshell foldable phone.
The Xiaomi Mix Flip device is listed in an IMEI database with the model number 2311BPN23C. Purported renders of the Mix Flip surfaced a few months ago showing three lenses on the camera module. The telephoto lens is said to offer 3x optical zoom.The Mix Flip is expected to be unveiled alongside the Mix Fold 4 next year.
Oppo is preparing to announce its next clamshell foldable phone, the Find N3 Flip. In a statement issued to HardwareZone, Oppo says the Find N3 Flip will offer upgrades across the board from the Find N2 Flip which include the cover screen experience and camera performance.
Xiaomi's entry into the clamshell foldable phone might not yet threaten Samsung's dominance since its Mix Fold phones are only available in China. Therefore, the possibility of the Mix Flip venturing beyond the Chinese market is very low.
