ADATA launches new Legend 970 PCIe 5.0 SSDs
ADATA has made an entry into the next-gen SSD market with its Legend 970 PCIe 5.0SSDwhich boasts an impressive peak read/write speeds of 10,000MB/s.
One of the innovations of the Legend 970 is the patented active air-cooling system, which combines a double-layer aluminium alloy heatsink, an integrated micro-fan, and surface crystallization technology. This offers a cooling solution that is fundamental in today's high-speed data environments. According to ADATA, their system effectively reduces temperatures by 10 per cent compared to traditional fanless designs, providing stable performance during extended periods of high-speed operation.
The SSD also employs a PCIe Gen5 x4 transmission interface, in full compliance with the NVMe 2.0 standard. It is also backward compatible with current (and older) PCIe 4.0 and 3.0 platforms as well as the latest Intel and AMD platforms, making it a highly versatile solution for a broad spectrum of users – although it’s worth nothing you will need to pair the new SSD with a PCIe 5.0 compatible motherboard to take advantage of its full speed.
ADATA has also employedtop-tier components in the Legend 970 SSD. Key among them is a232-layer 3D flash memory, which allows the SSD to be available in massive capacities of up to 2TB. This storage solution also incorporates a wide variety of data protection and correction technologies to ensure enhanced Total Bytes Written (TBW) and improved durability, making it a robust choice for high load applications.
Additionally, the SSD comes equipped with a Low Density Parity Check Code (LDPC) error correction mechanism and AES 256-bit encryption technology, that helps secure data transmission and the protection of intellectual property. ADATA is also offering a 5-year global limited warranty on the Legend 970 SSD.
