PSA: Update your iPhone 15 to iOS 17.0.2 to avoid phone migration issues

Just received your new iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max? Before you set it up, please update it to iOS 17.0.2!
Apple just rolled out iOS 17.0.2 specifically for the iPhone 15 lineup, which is stated to provide "important bug fixes, security updates, and fixes an issue that may prevent transferring data directly from another iPhone during setup."
The iOS 17.0.2 update should appear during the setup process. Alternatively, you can manually update the iPhone 15 via Settings > General > Software Update.
Some iPhone 15 users reportedly experienced an issue where the screen gets stuck on the Apple logo when transferring data from their old iPhones. Apple has published a support document to help users troubleshoot this issue:
Connect your new iPhone to a computer with a cable.Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Then, press and hold the side button.Continue to hold while the Apple logo appears and don't let go until an image of a computer and cable appears.On your computer, locate your new iPhone in the Finder or in iTunes.Choose Restore when you see the option to Restore or Update.Follow the on-screen instructions to start the setup process.Install any software update that is available during the setup process.
