BenQ has announced its new X series gaming projectors in Singapore. The X3100i and X300G models boast advanced features that mark a significant upgrade over the previous X3000i model(which we rated highly, by the way). Equipped with 4K HDR-PRO, BenQ's CinematicColor, and CinematicSound, BenQ claims these projectors “promise to deliver an exceptional audiovisual feast”. Notably, a remarkable 4.2ms low input lag is a standout specification, promising the kind of fluid, responsive gameplay that could give gamers a competitive edge.

BenQ has also introduced new features like SettingXChange for downloading expert projector settings for popular games to enhance gameplay with precision settings tailored to specific gaming environments. This is complemented by features like FPS Crosshair for improved aiming accuracy, and the Auto Game Mode that remembers user preferences for game mode configurations across various consoles.

Connectivity and streaming are integral to modern gaming, and the X Series does not disappoint, offering Google-certified Android TV and built-in Netflix.

The flagship X3100i model stands out with its 100% DCI-P3 wide colour coverage, promising a vivid and deep visual palette. Its audio outputs are equally impressive on paper, featuring 5W x2 speakers, eARC, and Dolby Atmos support. A suite of features such as a Vertical Lens Shift and Digital Zoom also make it highly adaptable to various room sizes and layouts.

The X300G, on the other hand, is tailored as a portable alternative, presenting 95% Rec. 709 colour coverage and an 8W x2 symmetrical speaker system. It also supports Dolby Atmos and boasts user-friendly features like Auto Focus and a Short-throw lens.

The X3100i will be available from Nov 11 onwards, with an SRP of $3,699. But for two days, Nov 11-13, it will be available for a promotional price of $3,579 on Shopee and Lazada. The X300G will launch sometime in December.
