Creative partners xMEMS Lab for its future solid-state true wireless earbuds
Creative announced its strategic partnership with xMEMS Labs to bring solid-state speaker technology into Creative’s future true wireless earbuds products, said the audio maker in an official statement on 15 August 2023.
Micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS)-based drivers are supposed to offer seven times better phase consistency than conventional ones, on top of the benefits of compact sizing (lighter, sleeker). For these reasons, Creative is working with xMEMS Lab, which the audio brand said can deliver nuance in audio with astounding accuracy, minimal distortion, all while keeping up audio quality.

The first xMEMS-powered Creative audio products are expected to hit the market “later this year”.
