Huawei's next-generation Watch GT 4 is here and it works with both Android phones and iPhones

Following its launch last month in Barcelona, Huawei has just announcedthe local availability and pricing of the Watch GT 4.

Consumers can get up to S$135 worth of freebies when they pre-order the Huawei Watch GT 4 from Huawei Official Stores on Lazada and Shopee from 5 October to 12 October. In addition, the Huawei Watch GT 4 (46mm) in green is exclusively available from Lazada during the pre-order.

The Huawei Watch GT 4 will be available at Huawei Experience Stores in 313@Somerset and Westgate, and partnering retailers from 13 October. Launch promotions include up to S$118.90 worth of freebies such as service benefits of a two-year warranty and free cleaning service at Huawei Service Centre.

As a recap, the Huawei Watch GT 4 is Huawei's latest generation of smartwatches and is available in two sizes: 46mm and 41mm.

The 46mm model has what Huawei calls an "octagonal design", while the 41mm sports a "ring bezel."

If you look closely, it's not really an octagon. The bezel is round and the case has angled sides. That said, the 46mm model is clearly the more masculine of the two.

The two models also come in different straps to fit different styles, personalities and occasions; the 46mm is available in fluoroelastomer (black), leather (brown), woven (green) and stainless steel (grey). The 41mm is available in stainless steel (silver), leather (white) and fluoroelastomer (black).

Both watch models come with always-on AMOLED screens and boast long battery life (up to 14 days for the 46mm and up to 7 days for the 41mm). They can track heart rates, sleep cycles, menstrual cycles, blood oxygen saturation levels, and over 100 workout modes.

Interestingly, the Huawei Watch GT 4 is compatible with both Android phones (Android 8.0 or later) and iPhones (iOS 13 or later), as long as you have the Huawei Health app. However, some features might not be available on the iPhone.
