Samsung’s massive and long curved gaming monitor is finally coming to Singapore.

First announced at CES 2023, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 (G95NC) is a massive 57-inch quantum mini-LED (VA) monitor with a 32:9 aspect ratio and 1000R curvature.

It has a 7,680 x 2,160 pixels resolution, similar to having two standard 32-inch 16:9 Ultra HD (2,160 pixels) monitors side by side, minus the downsides of dealing with double the power cables or ports to manage.

It’s not just massive for the sake of it — the monitor supports VESA-certified DisplayPort 2.1, which has Display Stream Compression (a lossless video standard designed to support high refresh rates on huge monitors). G95NC has a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz, and a peak 1,000-nits brightness for added clarity.

Also offered are three HDMI 2.1 ports and a built-in USB Hub.

Features on it include a grey-to-grey response time of 1ms for lag-free gaming, support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro (like your standard AMD FreeSync but with extra HDR compatibility), on top of VESA DisplayHDR 1000 for its high dynamic range of colours and contrast. The monitor has a height-adjustable stand, along with tilt and swivel ergonomics.

Since the display is so big, Samsung also added multi-tasking features like Picture-in-Picture modes for multiple inputs at once, and Auto Source Switch+ for automatic connection to new devices without choosing between your input sources.

Samsung added Core Lighting+ and CoreSync for mood and aesthetics to amplify its ambient lighting.

Users who register and place a pre-order get a free 32-inch Samsung Smart Monitor M7 (worth S$848), together with a Samsung Portable SSD T7 Shield 4TB (worth S$488). Samsung Members are additionally given a free JBL Headset worth S$59.
