StarHub announced partnerships with cloud gaming distributors CareGame and OnMobile Global to bring over 100 mobile game titles to GameHub+ Mobile Play, StarHub’s new mobile gaming category catered for mobile gamers.

GameHub+ Mobile Play is part of StarHub’s GameHub+ that was launched following the telco’s partnership with NVIDIA GeForce Now cloud gaming service.

By using StarHub GameHub+ Mobile Play, gamers get to enjoy mobile games on the go, by streaming them through the cloud, which eliminates the need for a flagship smartphone, large storage space and even the need to download the game. Gamers can play a wide selection of mobile games including AAA titles with buttery smooth graphics at ultra-low latency speeds.

This differs from games played over GeForce Now which required a controller like the Stratus+ and a premium smartphone for the best gaming results.

Johan Buse, Head of Consumer Business Group, StarHub said:

Since the launch of StarHub GameHub+, led by our partnership with NVIDIA GeForce Now in Singapore, we have actively explored new ways we can expand our cloud gaming offerings to gamers and grow the platform in the region. With mobile gaming constituting the largest share in the gaming landscape encompassing half of all gamers, Mobile Play aims to be the mobile gaming destination of choice. Coupled with StarHub’s award-winning 5G network, Mobile Play enables uninterrupted gameplay at ultra-speeds. We are proud to partner with CareGame and OnMobile Global, to bring some of the most popular game titles to Mobile Play for gamers to enjoy.

The gaming titles available from CareGame and OnMobile are spread over the most popular genres – racing, first-person shooter, role-playing, action, platformer, simulation, and strategy. Titles include Shadow Fight 2, Evoland 2, Modern Combat 5, Subway Surfers, Hitman Sniper, and Cut the Rope Magic.

Besides Singapore, StarHub also announced plans to open Mobile Play to gamers from neighbouring countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines. Gamers from these countries will even be able to pay in their local currencies for access.

Gamers will be able to sign up for a plan under Mobile Play, available at S$0.99 per day or S$3.99 per month. As an early bird special, first-timers will be able to enjoy 50% off their first-month sign-up by using the promo code CAREGAME5 for CareGame, valid until 29 February 2024. ONMO will be available on Mobile Play by the end of November.
