Xiaomi crashes Qualcomm’s keynote to announce the Xiaomi 14 series, touting Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
At Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit 2023 in Hawaii was a special guest that no one else was expecting — Xiaomi.
Its CEO, William Lu, took the stage during the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s keynote and announced the upcoming Xiaomi 14 series.
Xiaomi will do a full product launch for the Xiaomi 14 series on 26 October 2023, 7PM SGT. However, the company has already shared a few teasers.
First, the Xiaomi 14 series would be carrying the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which was the main reason why the Chinese smartphone brand was invited to present at Qualcomm’s summit.
Second, is Xiaomi and Qualcomm jointly saying that the Xiaomi 14 series uses all of the generative AI features available on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
By “everything”, we’re assuming that it also has features such as Video Object Eraser, Photo Expansion, and all the AI voice assistant smarts that’s aided by its on-device parameters.
