Poco's entry-level C65 phone features a 6.7-inch 90Hz screen and 50MP camera for under S$200
Former Xiaomi sub-brand Poco just announced the local availability and pricing for its latest entry-level smartphone, the C65.
Even though it's targeted at users on a budget, the Poco C65's specs and features are still rather impressive.
It may not support 5G, but it has a massive 6.74-inch Dot Drop display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, giving it a pixel density count of 260 ppi.
Brightness is up to 600 nits and it has a decent 90Hz refresh rate – something Apple's iPhone 15 and 15 Plus still lack. The screen is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Powering the Poco C65 isthe MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core chipset with CPU speeds clocked up to 2.0GHz.
It comes with either6GB or 8GB of memory, and it has a large 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging.
The Poco C65 sports a dual-camera module on the rear which consists of a 50MP main camera with 10 film filters, and a 2MP macro camera. There is also an 8MP selfie camera with a soft light ring for taking selfies in dark environments.
Other notable features include a side fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and expandable storage (up to 1TB) via a microSD card reader.
Availability and pricing
The Poco C65 is available in three colours (black, blue and purple) and two configurations (6GB+128GB, 8GB + 256GB).
From 6 November to 12 November, the Poco C65 will be exclusively available from the official Shopee store. For a limited time only, you can get the Poco C65 at an early bird price of S$149 (6GB+128GB) and S$169 (8GB+256GB).
It will also be available on its official Lazada store from 13 November at its usual retail price of S$169 (6GB + 128GB) and S$199 (8GB+256GB).
