Samsung launches Galaxy S23 FE, crashes the party with the lowest FE prices ever
Samsung has finally announced the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE today (4 October 2023), touting it as the “perfect entry point” for phone users who want to understand the fuss over premium flagship phones and why they cost so much.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE offers a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display (2,340 x 1,080 pixels) with 60-120Hz adaptive refresh rate that packs several flagship-tier trimmings, like Vision Booster (for better display colourisation based on lighting conditions), Eye Comfort Shield, and Eye Care display for its protective viewing elements. New to the device is 1,000-nits brightness in High Brightness Mode, up from its old 800 nits.
Over the rear sits a triple camera configuration led by a 50MP main (OIS, f/1.8, Dual Pixel AutoFocus), 12MP ultra-wide (f/2.2, 122° FOV), and an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom (OIS, f/2.4, PDAF). Samsung brought on Pro Mode (shutter speed, ISO, aperture controls), Selfie Tone for true-to-life selfies, and the famed Nightography low-light shooting found on its full-fledged Galaxy S series.
Inside, the phone is powered by an Exynos 2200 processor with 8GB RAM. Galaxy S23 FE also packs in a 4,500mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless PowerShare. Samsung said it now has a vapour chamber that’s 3.9x larger in dimension to help with heat dissipation and management.
In many ways, you could also the Galaxy S23 FE is a more affordable variant of the Galaxy S23+ without losing out much from what the latter offers.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Singapore pricing and promotions
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE starts at S$888 for 128GB, and S$988 for 256GB storage.
Retail begins online in Singapore from 10 October 2023 via the Samsung Online Store, select telcos (Singtel and StarHub), the Samsung official outlets on Lazada and Shopee, iShopChangi, and other online versions of major electronics retailers.
Customers who purchase online will receive their Galaxy S23 FE from 13 October 2023.
In-store purchase begins on 20 October 2023 onwards, over at the physical Samsung Experience Store, telcos (Singtel, StarHub, M1), and major electronic stores around Singapore (Gain City, Courts, Challenger, Best Denki, Harvey Norman).
Launch Promotions
From 10 October to 10 November 2023, customers who purchase the Galaxy S23 FE (128GB) from the Samsung Online Store, Samsung Experience Store, Samsung Official Stores, and major consumer electronics & IT stores are entitled to a free storage upgrade to the 256GB version (worth S$100).
Users who buy the Galaxy S23 FE (256GB) via telcos in the same period will get S$100 off their purchase.
All customers are also entitled to 50% off their two-year Samsung Care+ at S$70, with an additional overtrade value of S$200.
