Vivo X100 leaked on Weibo before its November launch
Is there any point in leaking just before an official launch? Some people think there is.
As reported on GSMArena, Weibo user You’re Old-Fashioned (translated) uploaded a photo of a Vivo phone with a massive camera housing taking up nearly half the rear, and tagging both the phone company along with Vivo’s mobile software social media account, Origin OS (known as Funtouch OS outside of China).
The caption also indicated that the photo is a real-life Vivo X100, asking its followers for their opinions — presumably about the phone's design.
Featured in the photo is a shimmery pastel blue phone with a machined finish and a subtle concentric circle pattern. The camera housing indicates four cutouts, with a ZEISS logo in its centre.
A leak at this juncture feels pretty moot since Vivo already informed its fans about its upcoming Vivo X100 launch keynote. It’s happening on 13 November 2023 at 7 PM CST (also 7 PM SGT).
The announcement poster features the sky that’s both simultaneously dawn and dusk, with the sunrise transforming into a waning moon. Combined with its leaked rear camera housing, we presume Vivo has plenty of features lined up for the X100’s photography prowess.
